Article 1. Purpose
These terms of use (the “Terms”) govern access to and use of the website charlinebrainez.com. The website is published by Charline Brainez, sole trader registered in France (see the legal notice). Its purpose is to present my French proofreading, editing, translation and copywriting services, and allow you to contact me.
Article 2. Acceptance
By browsing the website, you accept these Terms. I may change them at any time, in particular to reflect changes to the website or the law: the applicable version is the one online at the time of your visit, and its date is shown at the top of the page.
Article 3. Access to the website
The website is available free of charge, at any time, to anyone with internet access. Connection and equipment costs remain your responsibility. I do my best to keep the website available, but access may be interrupted, in particular for maintenance, updates or technical failure, without any right to compensation.
Article 4. Published information
The content of the website is provided for information purposes. Rates shown are indicative: only the written quote I send you is binding, and any collaboration is subject to a separate agreement.
Article 5. Intellectual property
The whole website (texts, photographs, artwork, logos, trademarks, structure, code) is protected by copyright and trademark law. You may view it for personal, non-commercial use. Any reproduction, representation, adaptation, extraction or distribution, in whole or in part, without prior written consent is prohibited. Simple links to the website’s pages are allowed, provided they are not displayed within a frame and do not suggest a partnership.
Article 6. Forms
When you use a form on the website, you agree to provide accurate information, not to impersonate anyone and not to send unlawful, abusive or unsolicited advertising content. Sending a request is neither an order nor a commitment: I reply to you and, where relevant, send you a quote.
Article 7. User conduct
You must not interfere with the proper operation or security of the website: unauthorised access attempts, viruses or malicious code, deliberate overloading, or automated collection of data or content (bots, scraping) for purposes other than search engine indexing. I reserve the right to block access for any user who does not comply with these rules.
Article 8. Links to other websites
The website contains links to third-party websites (social networks, partners). These websites are not under my control and apply their own terms; I am not responsible for their content or practices.
Article 9. Liability
I do my best to publish accurate and up-to-date information, without being able to guarantee the absence of errors or omissions. I cannot be held liable for interruptions of the website, indirect damage resulting from its use, or use of the published information without prior confirmation. It is your responsibility to protect your equipment against viruses and intrusions.
Article 10. Personal data and cookies
Data collected on the website (forms, audience measurement) is processed in accordance with my privacy policy. You can change your cookie choice at any time with the “Cookies” link at the bottom of each page.
Article 11. Applicable law and disputes
These Terms are governed by French law. If a problem arises, please contact me first: most questions are settled by a simple exchange. Failing an amicable agreement, the French courts have jurisdiction, subject to the mandatory rules protecting consumers in their country of residence.
